Douglas Tate




Douglas E. Tate, 71, of Shady Point, OK  passed away Friday, June 26, 2015  in Fort Smith, AR.   Douglas was born November 11, 1943 in Big Spring, TX to Oscar Tommy & Bennie Ruth (Lee) Tate.  He was drilling superintendent in the oil field.  He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Tommy Tate; mother, Bennie Ruth (Lee) Holt

step-mother, Doris O. Tate; grandparents, Oscar Frank and Lillian Tate; sister, Tommie Ruth Roye; half sister, Barbara Holt Dolloff;  step-brother, Bobby Sartain  ; half-brother, Wesley Holt; nephew, Andy Roye; aunts, Lucille Borrows, Vena Hadley;  uncles, Melvin, Marvin and Vernon Tate.

Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Evans Chapel, Poteau, OK with
Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
