Virginia Ward

Virginia Lea Ward, 87, of Cameron, OK passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2014 in Cameron.  Virginia was born September 5, 1927 in Hughes, OK to Martin E. & Ethel E. (Lewis) Duncan.  She was a seamstress & a rancher’s wife.  Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved to sew & bake.  She took care of everybody and loved her family.  Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; grandson, Justin Ward; great grandchildren, Emily Cox, William “Liam” Lyon; brothers, Joe Barrick, Earl Duncan; sisters in law, Shirley Duncan & Mary Barrick. 

Survivors include her children, Sandra & Joe Cox, Ricky & Trina Ward all of Cameron,OK, Wayne & Cissy Ward of Wister, OK; 16 grandchildren of which the grandsons being the pallbearers and granddaughters, Sandy Pendergrass, Sharon McEnturff, Karen Fletcher, Jamie Jarvis, Whitney Lyon, Makayla Ward;  39 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Jane Brown of Fanshawe, OK; brothers, Eugene Duncan of Fanshawe, OK, Marshall & Helga Duncan of Red Oak, OK; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Friday, December 5, 2014 at Cameron First Baptist Church, Cameron, OK with Rev. Lynn Bullard, John Long and Rev. Doug Nixon officiating.   Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be Rocky, Shawn & Shane Cox, Chass, Kyle, Dustin, Tanner Ward,  Chad Lucas, A.J. Rees & P.J. Rees.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Darneal & Bob Branson.   

The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 pm Thursday to visit with relatives & friends.
