James Sherman Brown Jr.,
90, of Pocola, OK
passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Pocola,
OK. James was born June 7, 1923 in Ft.
Smith, AR to James S.
Sr. & Myrtle (Miller) Brown Sr. He
was a carpenter. He was preceded in
death by his parents; 6 brothers, Weldon, Hampton, Don, Billy Jo & Herbert;
3 sisters, Betty, Lucille, & Grace.
Survivors include his wife
of 72 years, Lois A. Brown of the home;
Children, Barbara Milosav, James H. (Bud) Brown, Ronny Brown, Leroy
Hager all of Pocola, OK; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great
grandchildren; brother, George Brown of Ft. Smith, AR; other relatives &
loved ones; many friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, OK
with Rev. Danny Kennedy officiating.
Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola. Pallbearers will be David & Chad Scott,
Ryan Crowden, Mike O’dell, Sam Hodges, Delbert Hodges. Honorary pallbearer will
be Michael Crowden.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
